Serrated Plastic Greenhouse

The sawtooth film greenhouse was developed to address the dual needs of effective ventilation and regional climate adaptability in traditional greenhouse designs.

Early multi-span film greenhouses primarily relied on top or side roll-up ventilation. In hot and humid regions, this often led to insufficient ventilation efficiency, causing excessively high indoor humidity and subsequent crop diseases. Furthermore, relying on mechanical ventilation in such enclosed environments significantly increased energy costs.

To solve this pain point, agricultural facility engineers adapted the ventilation design principles of industrial sawtooth roofs. By redesigning the side walls into openable sawtooth-shaped slopes, this structure utilizes the stack effect (thermal buoyancy) to rapidly exhaust hot, humid air, while retaining the inherent advantages of film greenhouses: low cost and high light transmittance.

Through continuous technological iterations, the sawtooth film greenhouse has been progressively equipped with supporting systems such as shading and thermal insulation. It has now become a specialized agricultural facility perfectly suited for hot and humid climates.
